The
last par 5 begins with a blind tee shot. A well struck tee shot going just left
of the fescue will place the ball in the middle of the fairway. Long hitters
may get on the upslope with a chance of going for the green in two. The view to
the green is rather wide and contained with two fairway bunkers on the left that
seem to collect slightly off target shots.
The green is bunkered on the right and left. If the pin is on the small shelf back left,
flying over the green typically leaves a difficult, blind uphill chip. Birdies are common but par is still a good score. Just like the second hole, this hole has a
different strategy from the forward tees as it’s no longer a blind tee
shot. Longer hitters can try and carry
the swale in the fairway to the top of the hill. Others may consider aiming left to climb the
hill as the slope in the fairway isn’t as dramatic as the right side. |
